DEPENDENCY ON IMPORTED ENERGY IN TURKEY: INPUT_OUTPUT ANALYSIS

The main goal of this paper is to reveal the extent import dependency on electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (EGSA), basic component energy, in Turkey. Such that growing industrialization Turkey has expanded need for energy since many sectors use as input produce output. However, Turkey’s domestic production fails meet demand. For reason, meets approximately 75 percent its needs through imports, leading an increase current account deficit. Energy 20 total have become primary deficit, exposing Turkish economy instabilities global gas oil prices several additional risks. In context, we analyzed by input-output tables 2002 2012. results underline increases, imports increase, economic leakage generated rise demand increases.
